April 11, 2019 Board Meeting Agenda

The April 9, 2019 Town of Central Special Election Certification and Provisional Ballot Hearing will be conducted by Board of Voter Registration and Elections of Pickens County serving as the Pickens County Board of Canvassers on Thursday, April 11, 2019 at 9:00am inside the Voter Registration and Elections Office of the Pickens County Administration Facility (222 McDaniel Avenue Pickens, SC 29671).

The following items are on the agenda:

1. Welcome and Call to Order by Chairperson Kathleen Hane

2. Invocation

3. Approval of Minutes:

a. March 29, 2019

4. Oath of Board of Canvassers

5. Provisional Ballot Hearing

6. Canvass and Certification of Election Results

7. Order any necessary Recounts (only ordered if the difference between the number of votes received by the winning candidate and the losing candidate is 1% or less.)

8. Perform any necessary Recounts (only if necessary)

9. Canvass and Certification of Recounted Results (only if necessary)

10. Order any necessary Runoff Election (only ordered in the event of a tie)

11. Public Comment Period

This is an opportunity for citizens to come before the Board with various issues. Citizens who wish to speak during the public comment period do not have to register or signup in advance. Each person is limited to 5-minutes of speaking time. Maximum total public comment time is 20 minutes.
