City of Liberty Ward 4 Runoff Election

The Board has ordered a runoff election be held between Charles R. Beaver and Archie Newberry Jr for the Liberty City Council Ward 4 Seat after neither candidate received a majority of votes cast in the Special Election held on March 6th.  The City of Liberty Runoff Election will be held on Tuesday, March 20th.

Eligibility – Registered voters who have been residents of the City of Liberty at least 30-days prior to March 6th. Eligible voters may vote regardless if they participated in the original March 6th election. The same list of registered voters will be used. If you are a resident of the City of Liberty (inside city limits) and are registered to vote, you are eligible to vote in this election.

The following voting Locations will be open from 7am to 7pm on Tuesday, March 20, 2018.

Absentee voting is available prior to the date of the election in the Office of the Board of Voter Registration & Elections Inside the Pickens County Administration Facility during normal office hours, Monday through Friday 8am to 5pm. Absentee voting closes at 5pm, Monday March 19, 2018.

Runoff Election Certification & Provisional Ballot Hearing will be held Thursday, March 22nd at 9am in the Board Room of the Pickens County Administration Building.
