November 7, 2017 Central, Liberty, Norris, and Pickens Municipal Elections Results

The Board met on November 9, 2017 at 9am, ruled on all provisional ballots, and voted to certify the election results. The official results of the November 7, 2017 municipal  general elections in Central, Liberty, Norris, and Pickens are posted below. There were no recounts and no runoff elections ordered for any office.

Because Mr. Brian Petersen is the current Liberty City Council Ward 4 office holder and Mayor Elect, a special election will be required to fill the Liberty City Council Ward 4 position.  The date of the special election will be determined as soon as our office receives Mr. Petersen’s resignation letter from the Ward 4 Seat.  More information will be posted about this special in the near future on PickensElections.org.

Any excess of the sum so ascertained shall be a majority and the candidates who obtain a majority shall be declared elected. If more candidates obtain a majority than there are offices to be filled, those having the highest vote (equal to the number of offices to be filled) shall be declared elected.
