Voter Registration Deadline for Municipal Elections in Central, Liberty, Norris, and Pickens

Municipal General Elections will be held for the municipalities of Central, Liberty, Norris, and Pickens on Tuesday, November 7, 2017.  A runoff election, if necessary, will be held two weeks later on Tuesday, November 21, 2017.

Eligible voters must be residents of the municipality for at least 30-days prior to the date of the election and registered to vote by the voter registration deadline.  Persons who have moved should update their voter registration information by the voter registration deadline.

The deadline to register and be eligible to vote in these elections depends on the method of registration:

  • Deadline to register to vote in-person in our office – 5pm, Friday, October 6, 2017
  • Deadline to register online, or by fax or email – 11:59pm Sunday, October 8, 2017
  • Deadline to register to vote by mail – Application must be postmarked by Tuesday, October 10, 2017

Residents who are currently 17-years old but will turn 18-years old on or before November 7, 2017 may register to vote now.  To be eligible to vote, the 17-year olds must submit their voter registration application by the above voter registration deadline.
