April 5, 2016 Board Meeting Agenda

A regular monthly meeting of the Board of Voter Registration & Elections will be held Tuesday, April 5, 2016 at 4:30pm in the Board Room inside the Pickens County Administration Facility (222 McDaniel Ave Pickens, SC 29671).

IV. Public Comment Period

This is an opportunity for citizens to come before the Board with various issues. Citizens who wish to speak during the public comment period do not have to register or signup in advance. Each person is limited to 5-minutes of speaking time. Maximum total public comment time is 20 minutes.

VI. Motion period for old and new business

a. Old Business

1. Consider, edit, and approve new performance evaluation form.

b. New Business

1. Consider permanently moving Precinct 124 East Pickens from the Pickens Senior Center (129 Schoolhouse St Pickens SC 2967) to the Mill Church (158 Woodrow St Pickens SC 29671).

2. Consider permanently moving Precinct 123 South Pickens from the Holy Cross Catholic Church (558 Hampton Ave Pickens, SC 29671) to the Grace United Methodist Church (390 E Cedar Rock St Pickens, SC 29671) upon receipt of permission to use the facility from the Grace United Methodist Church’s governing body.

3. Consider alternate locations for Precinct 117 AR Lewis because the current voting location of AR Lewis Elementary School is being closed.

4. Develop and approve an emergency backup plan should Pickens County Information Systems Department not be available to deliver voting machines to the voting precincts for elections beginning with the June 2016 primaries.

5. Consider plan of action and agreement regarding procedures and responsibilities of an employee whose spouse is on ballot.
