Early Registration for 2016 General Election Begins Today

Wednesday, September 23, 2015, is the day that 17-year-olds (and some 16-year-olds) who will turn 18-years-old on or before the November 8, 2016, General Election may begin registering to vote in the Presidential Preference Primaries (PPP), June Primaries, and General Election.

Individuals who are not yet 18-years-old, but will turn 18 on or before the next General Election (November 8, 2016), and who otherwise qualify to vote, have the right to register to vote beginning September 23, 2015. To vote in the election, these citizens must register to vote by the voter registration deadline for the election. They may vote in all proceeding related primary elections even though they may only be 16 or 17-years old at the time as long as they register to vote by the voter registration deadline for the primary elections.
