October 8th Voter Registration Deadline Approaching

This is just a friendly reminder to the residents of the municipalities of Central, Easley, Liberty, Pickens, and Six Mile that the last day to register to vote in Pickens County and be eligible to vote in the municipal elections to be held on November 8th is Saturday, October 8, 2011.

If you reside inside the city limits of the municipalities of Central, Easley, Liberty, Pickens, or Six Mile and have not yet registered, you must register by Saturday, October 8th to vote in your city’s municipal election.

If you have moved since you registered to vote, you need to update your information with us by Saturday, October 8th.

If you know someone who is 17 now but will turn 18 on or before November 8, 2011, please let them know that they CAN register to vote now. As long as they register by October 8th they will be eligible to vote on November 8th, provided they reside inside the city limits of a city having a municipal election.

You may also register to vote in person during our normal office hours of Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m at the Office of the Pickens County Registration & Elections Commission at 222 McDaniel Ave B-9 Pickens, SC 29671 or call 864-898-5948 to request a registration application be mailed to you.

Applications can be submitted in-person in our office during normal office hours, emailed as an attachment to [email protected] (attachment cannot exceed 4mb), faxed to 864-898-5637, or mailed to 222 McDaniel Ave, B-9, Pickens, SC 29671. Emailed and faxed applications must be received by Saturday, October 8th. Applications mailed must be postmarked by Saturday, October 8th.
