January 7, 2014 Commission Meeting Agenda

A regular monthly meeting of the Pickens County Registration & Elections Commission will be held Tuesday, January 7, 2014 at 4:30pm in their office inside the Pickens County Administration Facility.

The following items are on the agenda:

I. Welcome and Call to Order

III. Approval of Minutes

IV. Public Comment Period

This is an opportunity for citizens to come before the Commission with various issues. Citizens who wish to speak during the public comment period do not have to register or signup in advance. Each person is limited to 5-minutes of speaking time. Maximum total public comment time is 20 minutes.

V.  Presentation on IRS regulations requiring the payment of commissioner stipends to be paid through payroll instead of accounts payable by Tami Hall, Pickens County Human Resources Director.  Commissioners will be provided payroll documents to complete.

VI. Director’s Report

a. Update on Easley Ward 4 Special Election

b. Update on School Board District 4 Trustee Special Election

c. Reminder to File Statement of Economics Interests Forms by Noon, March 30th

d. Presentation to Clemson League of Women Voters on Tuesday, January 21st

VII. Motion period for old and new business

1. Consider relocating and consolidating the 134 Arial Mill Precinct from the Arial Mill Baptist Church (618 Rice Rd Easley, SC 29640) to the Calvary Hill Baptist Church (510 Rampey St Easley SC 29640) for the City of Easley Ward 4 Special Election and any subsequent runoff election only.  This will affect one registered voter.
