Voter Registration & Photo ID Cards

We have had some questions regarding the need for photo identification at the polls.  Please forward this information to all your family and friends:

Citizens residing inside the incorporated municipal boundaries of the South Carolina municipalities of Central, Easley, Liberty, Norris, and Pickens need to be registered to vote by Saturday, October 5th 2013 to vote in their November 5, 2013 municipal elections.  You can check to make certain your registration is up to date by clicking HERE.  If you are not registered or have changed your address or name, click HERE to find ways you can update your information prior to October 5th.

When registered voters go to their voting location on November 5, 2013, they will need to display ONE of five types of photo identification.

•S.C. Driver’s License

•ID Card issued by S.C. Department of Motor Vehicles

•S.C. Voter Registration Card with Photo

•Federal Military ID (includes Veteran’s Benefits Card

•U.S. Passport

If you already have one of the above photo IDs and are registered to vote, you are all set.  Just remember to bring your photo ID with you when you go to vote.

If you don’t have one of the above photo IDs, you can get a SC Voter Registration Card with Photo from our office.  There is absolutely NO CHARGE for these cards.  We are located inside the County Administration Building (222 McDaniel Ave Suite B-9 Pickens, SC 29671).   Our office is open from 8am to 5pm Monday through Friday.  Also, to better serve the community, we are going to be at library locations throughout Pickens County.  Click HERE for more information on the Voter Registration & Photo ID Drives at the libraries.
