As required by Section 7-13-830 of the 1976 South Carolina Code of Laws, the Pickens County Registration & Elections Commission, serving as the Pickens County Board of Canvassers, will hold a hearing to determine the validity of all provisional (challenged) ballots cast in the November 6, 2012 General Election.
This provisional ballot hearing will be held on Friday, November 9th, 2012 at 9:00am at the following location:
Auditorium (County Council Chambers) inside the
Pickens County Administration Facility
222 McDaniel Ave
Pickens, SC 29671
If you are the challenged voter: You are entitled to be present at this hearing. You are entitled to be represented by legal counsel and to present evidence in your behalf. If your vote was challenged for not providing proper ID when registering to vote: You must provide this ID prior to or at the provisional ballot hearing for your vote to be counted. You may determine the status of your ballot by following either of these steps:
1. Calling the Registrations & Elections Commission office at 864-898-5948 or 864-898-5949

If you are the challenger: You may be present at this hearing to present evidence and/or witnesses in support of your challenge. Prior to the hearing, you may present written evidence to the County Election Commission in support of your challenge. If you do none of these to support your challenge, the ballot will be counted.
