A special meeting of the the Pickens County Registration & Elections Commission will be held Thursday, March 29 2012 at 3:00pm in the Board Room inside the Pickens County Administration Facility.

This is an opportunity for citizens to come before the Commission with various issues. Citizens who wish to speak during the public comment period do not have to register or signup in advance. Each person is limited to 5-minutes of speaking time. Maximum total public comment time is 20 minutes.
V. Oath of Canvassers
VI. Certification of City of Clemson Special Municipal Election in accordance with 7-13-190 (E)
VII. Director’s Report
a. Reminder: Commissioners Required to File Ethics Forms by April 15
b. Status of implementation of reapportionment changes in House, Senate, County Council, and School Board Districts on voter registration records.
c. Update on Special Elections and June Primaries and Runoffs
d. Reimbursement from the SEC for the 2012 Presidential Preference Primaries
VIII. Motion period for old and new business
a. Old Business
1. Consider revising the polling locations list for the 2012 Precinct Reorganization project and officially submitting this list of locations to the Pickens County Legislative Deligation for approval.
2. Consider requesting that the Pickens County Legislative Delegation amend Senate Bill S1316 (the Pickens County Precinct Reorganization project) so as to change the effective date to July 1, 2012 due to the special elections now scheduled to occur prior to the June Primaries, leaving insufficient time to make the changes following pre-clearnce by the DOJ.
b. New Business
1. Consider temporarily moving some precinct polling locations from some schools to temporary locations for the June Primaries and Runoffs due to school being in session.
