The mission of the Board of Voter Registration & Elections of Pickens County is to offer every Pickens County citizen the opportunity to register to vote, and to conduct legal, fair, and efficient elections so all citizens are assured their vote will be counted.
The last day to register to vote in any election is the 31st day prior to the election. Voters who have moved from one county to another must be registered to vote in their new county by the deadline. Voters must keep their registration records current.
Voting in person now requires Photo ID. Make sure you have one of these forms of Photo ID: SC Driver’s License, SC Department of Motor Vehicles Issued ID Card, SC Voter Registration Card with Photo, Federal Military Photo ID, or a U.S. Passport.
Our office is responsible for facilitating absentee voting for all Federal, State, County, and Municipal elections within Pickens County. Absentee voting is not the “early voting” that you may have heard about on the news. You must meet one of 17 criteria to vote absentee.
